The jury selection for San Benito Mayor Joe H. Hernandez’ upcoming trial was postponed on Monday due to the inclement weather brought on by Tropical Storm Ingrid.
“Jury duty was canceled today (Monday, Sept. 16) due to the weather, so everything was moved,” said Melissa Zamora, Public Information Officer for the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office. “They begin with jury selection, and once that’s complete they move forward with the trial.”
