Reymundo Gonzalez, 85, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen, TX.

He was a member of the Templo El Salvador Church in San Benito, Texas. He enjoyed ranching, farming, talking on his cell phone and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife Emilia Gonzalez; his children Gloria (Benito) Juarez, Reymundo (Kimberley) Gonzalez, Frank (Cyndi) Gonzalez, George (John Maline) Gonzalez, Antonio Gonzalez, Chriselda (Balaji Mohanarangan); his siblings, Christina Gonzalez, Paulita Leal, Enedelia Cano, Rogelia Balderas, Abel Gonzalez, Elias Gonzalez, Ramiro Gonzalez, Reynaldo Gonzalez, and Raul Gonzalez; his grandchildren, Dana Gonzalez, Douglas Gonzalez, Alejandro Juarez, Dina Juarez, Cynthia Gonzalez, Frank-Ryan Gonzalez, Anaya Balaji, Nyan Balaji; his great-grandchildren, Tristan, Tyler, Sydney and Dylan.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2013 at San Benito Funeral Home. Family will greet friends and family from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Templo El Salvador Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be his four sons and four grandsons; Reymundo Gonzalez, Jr.; Frank Gonzalez, George Gonzalez, Antonio Gonzalez, Douglas Gonzalez, Alejandro Juarez, Frank-Ryan Gonzalez and Nyan Balaji.
