Special to the NEWS
Gloria Gonzalez, RN, head of nursing at San Benito Medical Associates, is retiring.
She plans to enjoy her retirement traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren, according to SBMA representatives.
Gonzalez is also very involved with the activities of her church. She has been an integral part of the SBMA organization for almost 40 years, SBMA representatives stated.
Gonzalez came to SBMA from Valley Baptist as an LVN in 1973. While maintaining her full time job with the practice and raising a family, she made the time to continue her education and earned a degree as a registered nurse. She has seen many changes in the medical industry over the course of her career.
“Her many years of loyal and dedicated service are appreciated,” read an SBMA statement. “Her contributions helped to shape SBMA into the success it is today. She will be missed by the physicians, staff and patients at San Benito Medical Associates.”
