SAN BENITO, TX—Rafaela G. Rodriguez, 88, passed away on December 3, 2012 in San Benito, Texas.
She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Theresa Catholic Church. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and was also a service lector for Saturday’s mass at St. Theresa.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Rodriguez; her parents; three brothers, Gonzalo, Jose Luis, and Gilberto Gonzalez; and a sister, Carmen G. Hodges.
Rafalea is survived by her children, Irene R. (Arnold+) Montalvo, Olivia Rodriguez, Elida (Rudy) Rubio, George (Eva Moreno) Rodriguez, and Arturo (Mary Ester) Rodriguez; her brother, Eliseo M. (Leonor) Gonzalez of Porterville, CA; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the holy rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral procession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. funeral mass at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
