RAYMONDVILLE – Following a 1-2 start to open the season, many had already written off the Rio Hondo Bobcats before last week’s matchup against the La Grulla Gators… except the Bobcats.

But after last week’s nearly flawless 30-6 victory against the Gators, the ’Cats (2-2) have shown District 32-3A and the rest of the Valley that a record does not make the team. Rio Hondo is now set to take the field again on Friday, September 28, at Bearkat Stadium in Raymondville.

The Raymondville Bearkats are currently 1-3, but Rio Hondo knows a thing or two about judging at team by numbers, and this Bearkat squad is quite capable of pulling off a victory. Also take into consideration that the Bearkats will be looking to erase the memory of a devastating 62-26 loss at the hands of the Sinton Pirates last week.
