A young boy’s life depends on the goodness of those in his community and surrounding areas.
The City of San Benito will host a bone marrow drive at City Hall from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, for Nolan Naranjo, a 5-year-old boy from San Benito who, according to family, may not survive without a bone marrow transplant.
On September 10, 2011, Nolan was diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia, a disease of bone marrow failure. Nolan is part Hispanic and part Caucasian. Since ethnicity plays a vital role in finding a match and none of Nolan’s family members qualify, he will likely need an unrelated donor.
