As construction at 155 E. U.S. Hwy 77 quiets, it is almost impossible not to take notice of a rather large, architecturally-linear building which now consumes a large chunk of what was previously a parking lot.
Known by national reputation as the place to go for everyday items like pharmaceuticals, food items, photography needs, personal care products and gifts, Walgreens is highly speculated to stimulate economical development within the community of San Benito.
Store manager Balde Escamilla said, “There is no Walgreens like this in the area. This is the only Walgreens in our district that will be a wellness store. It will [offer] expanded services like immunizations, blood pressure testing, cholesterol testing.”
