Hortencia M. Castillo, 76, passed away on August 6, 2012 in Harlingen, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arturo Castillo, Sr; and her daughter, Martha Manriquez.
She is survived by her children: Irma (Pablo) Manriquez, Leticia (Francisco) Becerra, Jose Luis Rodriguez, Ruben (Blanca) Rodriguez, Delia (Jesus) Silva, Arturo (Lupita) Castillo Jr., Genaro Castillo, Hortencia (Reynaldo) Mata, Laura (Tino) Benavidez, and Lupita (Roy) Pena; 30 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her two brothers, Heriberto Manriquez and Agustin Manriquez.
Visitation was held on August 7, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
Funeral mass will be held on August 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are: Arturo Castillo III, Roberto Castillo, Jessie Silva III, Reynaldo Mata Jr., Genaro Castillo Jr., Ruben Rodriguez Jr., Angel Sandate, and Francisco Sandate.
