Slowly but surely, the City of San Benito is bringing its services into the 21st century, from revamping its website to recently increasing its content to include press releases from the San Benito Police Department (SBPD).
Well, they’re at it again as authorities with the SBPD are continuing efforts in streamlining operations as well as modernizing its functionality, this time by going the obvious route: making a Facebook account.
Assistant Chief of Operations Michael Galvan said Tuesday that the department can reach a multitude with important notifications pertaining to emergency matters, be it hurricane-related events, fires, traffic congestion and wrecks as well as weather warnings.
