Over 600 votes have been cast in local elections here in San Benito.
According to San Benito CISD Business Manager Emma McCall, 234 votes were tallied at the start of early voting on Monday and another 192 on Tuesday. This brings the total to 426 votes cast in the San Benito CISD School Board election thus far.
Over at the City of San Benito, City Secretary Lupita Passement said Monday’s numbers brought in 118 votes with almost as many the following day at 114 for a total of 232 ballots cast in the City of San Benito general election.
