Another case of a convenience store robbery and the assault of a clerk manning the business has been reported in San Benito.
On Saturday, April 21, San Benito police responded to a robbery at a local convenient store.
At 4:53 a.m., officers with the San Benito Police Department (SBPD) received a call from a clerk at Stripes convenience store located on the 300 block of South Sam Houston Boulevard. There, the clerk said he was assaulted by two men who took money from the store’s cash register and then fled on foot.
