’Hounds extend win streak to five, Ladies ground Falcons

They’ve done it again.

After suffering a losing skid despite opening the season on impressive terms, the San Benito Greyhounds have redeemed themselves by managing to put together a five-game winning streak, placing the ’Hounds squarely in contention for a spot in the playoffs and for the number two seed.

Their latest win came Thursday, after dispatching the Pace Vikings by a score of 15-6.

The bats came alive for the ’Hounds that night, but they weren’t the only team in purple and gold hitting.

The San Benito Lady Hound varsity softball team took out Los Fresnos Thursday night with a score of 7-0.

    Awesome! I believe the last time SB won a district title in baseball was 1995 and now find themseleves in a 3 way tie for 1st. Good Luck the rest of the season. Go Greyhounds!

  1. Yes, the Greyhounds did indeed defeat Pace on Thursday by a score of 15-6.

    Sorry to ask but did San Benito win in the baseball game against Pace because they other newspaper claims they lost by the same score. Just trying to verify that the score is correct.
