Surveillance footage caught the assault of a convenience store clerk in San Benito who was attacked Sunday by two armed men.
According to police reports, the incident took place in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 1 at a Stripes convenience store located on the 400 block of E. Business 77. It was at about 3:11 a.m. when police responded to the scene of a robbery at the location, where two male subjects, reportedly dressed in dark clothing and concealing their face with bandanas and hoodies, entered the store and demanded cash and merchandise.
“The two males were armed,” read a press release issued by the San Benito Police Department (SBPD). “One male subject was holding a large metal rod and the other holding a knife.”
