A search for the man responsible for a convenience store robbery recently turned up two suspects as San Benito police arrested those believed responsible on Thursday.

It was approximately 12:05 p.m. when detectives from the San Benito Police Department (SBPD) arrived at a residence located on the 21100 block of Smoker Road just outside of San Benito. They were there to serve a felony arrest warrant issued for 18-year-old Frank Rivas, who is accused of the March 23 aggravated robbery of Jimmy’s Store on Wentz Street in San Benito.

Det. Rogelio Banda said Rivas is accused of entering the store and demanding cash while displaying a firearm tucked in his waistband before fleeing on foot.
