emergency-lightsA robbery suspect remains on the loose after evading authorities Friday, police said.

According to Detective Rogelio Banda of the San Benito Police Department (SBPD), officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Wentz St. Friday at 9:53 a.m. Banda said that’s when the suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his late teens or early 20s and wearing sunglasses, a black cap and hoodie walked into Jimmy’s Store and demanded cash.

“He was just roaming around, and at one point the clerk asked the subject, ‘Can I help you?’” Banda said. “He said no but displayed a firearm that was tucked in his waistband and demanded cash.”
