Changes to water fees go before council

waterSan Benito City Commissioners discussed Tuesday a measure to suspend the current ordinance for RVs and not to charge a $10 water base fee for empty lots.

Victor Garza representing the Utility Board made a presentation before the commissioners to “suspend enforcement of the ordinance as it applies to recreational vehicles as defined by House Bill 841, Section 13.087.”

The trouble is distinguishing a true RV from a permanent home. Garza mentioned the two as something that the board is currently researching.
