Pedro Puga, 14, of San Benito, Texas, entered into the golden gates of Heaven on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas.
Pedro Puga was born in January 15, 1998 in Harlingen, Texas. Pedro was a beloved little brother, accomplished chess player, and great friend.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, J Carmen Ponce; and his cousin, Belinda Annette Puga.
He is survived by his parents, Martina C. Ponce and Javier J. Puga; siblings: Alicia Lopez, Martin Puga, Rebecca Puga, and Marissa Puga; his niece, Aaliyah N. Lopez; and nephew, Randy Lopez Jr. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Rita Franco Ponce and paternal grandmother, Olga Maria Avalos.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in San Benito, Texas. Committal service will follow to San Benito City Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Martin Puga, Sergio Farrias, Trey Puga, Randy Lopez, George Lopez, and Gilbert Martinez.
