Seen here is a scene from last year's San Benito Chamber of Commerce Lighted Christmas Parade. This year's procession is slated for Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. (File photo)
It’s Christmas time here in San Benito, and what better way to kick off the holiday spirit than with a Christmas parade.
This year’s event is touted as a special one.
Slated for Saturday, Dec. 10 downtown San Benito on Sam Houston Boulevard, the parade’s theme this year will be in honor of the City of San Benito’s centennial, celebrating its 100 years of incorporation.

I dont like the baggy pants style crooked caps and other gangster type styles cause its a dumbing down of attitudes, makes u look stupid and stupid is in, but lowriders are marginally acceptable and i see nothing wrong in it.
i hope the city does not allow any of the stupid low rider cars and bicycles in the parade…there is nothing christmasy about cars and bikes…
