Past and current elected officials of the City of San Benito will be recognized for their service at a special Centennial of Incorporation ceremony Friday at the Municipal Building, 401 N. Sam Houston.
The Centennial marks the 100th anniversary of the city’s incorporation.
Proclamations, letters of congratulations and verbal tributes will be presented from the offices of Texas Governor Rick Perry, US Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, US Representative Blake Farenthold, State Senator Eddie Lucio Jr., State Representative Eddie Lucio III, Cameron County Judge Carlos Cascos and others.
