Notice of special meeting of the City Commission and Joint Workshop will meet with the Utility Board on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. at San Benito Municipal Building (Cesar Gonzalez Meeting Hall), 401 North Sam Houston, San Benito.

During the course of this meeting, the City Commission may retire into Executive Session under Texas Government Code Section 551.071 (2) to consult with its legal counsel on legal matters relating to any item on this agenda when the duty of the attorney to the City Commission under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code. The City Commission reserves the right to consider and address any of the items in this agenda in any order during the meeting.

Items to be discussed are as follows:

1. Welcome.

2. Consideration and action on proposed Certificates of Obligation expenditures.

3. Consideration and action on approval of the final plat of proposed Jesse Perez Subdivision, located at the southwest corner of F.M. 732 and Yost Road. Applicant: Rios Surveying, L.L.C., c/o Francisco Rios, R.P.L.S.

4. Consideration and action on appointment of two members to the Utility Board.

5. Consider first reading of Ordinance No. 2469: An Ordinance Amending Budget for the General Fund, for the current fiscal year October 1, 2010 and ending September 30, 2011, in accordance with the Charter of the City of San Benito, Texas and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith.

6. Consideration and action on authorizing the City Manager to proceed with the funding of the generator project.

7. Status of 2011 3rd quarter report Los Indios Free Trade Bridge

8. Status of Financial report period ending May 31, 2011.

9. Workshop Meeting on the following:

a. Joint Workshop with the Utility Board on discussion and recommendations to the City Commission on possible Customer Class fees.

b. Review and discuss structuring/positions in different departments

c. Review of the following Ordinances:

i. Ordinance No. 2464: San Benito Memorial Park

ii. Ordinance No. 2348-C Fee Schedule

iii. Ordinance Nos. 1055, 2101, 2160, 2281 Regulating Trucks/trailers

10. Executive Session: Under Texas Government Code, Section 551.074: Personnel: Discussion regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. City Manager, Assistant City Manager, Deputy City Manager Human Resource Director, Police Chief, Fire Chief, Water Plant Supervisor, Wastewater Plant Supervisor, Water Distribution Supervisor, Collections/Lift Station Supervisor.
