As football season approaches the San Benito Greyhounds have added former La Feria Head Coach Gabriel “Bo” Camacho onto their coaching staff as Defensive Assistant.
Camacho has previously been defensive coordinator at San Antonio Highlands as well as Del Rio. Camacho left La Feria in March. “I’m thankful, grateful, and blessed to be a Greyhound now, I hope to take my knowledge in football and be an asset in winning,” said Camacho, who will be assisting Defensive Coordinator Dave Evans.
The Greyhounds just ended spring football and will be back at Bobby Morrow Stadium on August 19 as they kick off their first season scrimmage against La Joya Palmview.
Camacho hopes to be able to contribute to the Greyhound defense and is looking forward to working with the Greyhound coaching staff.
“I’m a hard working coach and I’m excited to be able to work with the great coaches and be able to do my part to add to the recipe,” added Camacho.

All I have to say, is that there is something about Bo Camacho that raises my suspicions. I dislike him in general. Hiring him was a terrible mistake.
ok. anonymous he was hired last year. you posted comment at almost one in the morning about someone who doesn’t even work in san benito.
another needless taxpayer dollar drain.. this is vocationally & educationally useless and non-productive considering that less than a fraction of one percent of high school or college players ever play professionally! Special interest groups should not be supported by the taxpayers!
