Juan Serrata, 88 of Harlingen, TX. entered into rest on Saturday April 23, 2011.He was born October 20, 1922 to Juan & Olaya Serrata.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anastacia Serrata and 2 daughters Rosalinda Serrata and Rosalva Serrata Barbola.
Mr. Serrata is survived by his 3 sons Frank (Santa) Serrata, Juan (Bertha) Serrata and Martin (Adelina) Serrata; son-in-law Mario Barbola; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters Eusebio (Benita) Serrata, Ramon (Emma) Serrata, Constanza (Jose Maria) Medrano, Josefina (Zenon) Onfre and Benjamin (Martina) Serrata; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held 1:00-9:00pm Monday April 25, 2011 with a rosary that was recited at 7:00pm.
Mass of Resurrection will be held Tuesday April 26, 2011 Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1313 W. Buchanan with Rite of Committal to follow in the Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, TX.
The funeral procession will depart Rudy Garza Funeral Home on Tuesday April 26, 2011 at 9:30am.
