An 11-month-old infant boy and his mother have reportedly died in a two-car collision off of U.S. Highway 100 and California Road in Los Fresnos on Friday afternoon.
According to Public Information Officer Eddie Garcia of the Brownsville Police Department, a silver 2003 Ford Mustang, carrying the mother and son, was traveling east on U.S. Highway 100 when the driver, the mother, reportedly lost control of the vehicle and swerved into oncoming traffic. Garcia said that the Mustang appears to have veered into the path of a 2007 Conn’s freightliner, which was traveling east. The vehicles hit head-on and came to a stop on the side of the road in front of Sunset Funeral Home.
