Shirley Ann Hall, 84, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
She was born June 24, 1926, in Weslaco, Tx.
Shirley enjoyed working with her husband, Pete, in the Elks organization at the state and local levels. She also was a volunteer for the HCISD HOSTS program for many years. Bowling was her favorite hobby, and she loved her two dogs.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, and her mother and father. At Pete’s death in 2007 Shirley and Pete had been married 62 years. Shirley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in San Benito, so memorial contributions can be made there or to the San Benito Elks Lodge #1661.
She is survived by her son, Martin, (Krista); two daughters, Christine Smith (Frank) and Karen Zeissel (Charles); one grandson, Michael, one granddaughter, Abigail; one great granddaughter, Brooke; and her good friend, Stephanie.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 from 1 p.m. till 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 7 at Henry Thomae Funeral Home 701 N. Bowie San Benito.
Graveside services will be Tuesday April 19, at 10 a.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
