UTB/TSC to reopen Saturday, Feb. 5

The UTB/TSC campus will re-open for classes on Saturday, Feb. 5. The campus will be back to a regular class and business schedule on Monday, Feb. 7.

The Master Chorale’s concert at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4 at The Arts Center will go on as scheduled.

The English Graduate Advancement and Development Society’s second annual graduate-undergraduate conference from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 5 will still take place.

The Timm Wind Quintet Concert as part of the Patron of the Arts Series planned for Saturday, Feb. 5 has been postponed until further notice.

The Scorpions baseball team will play two doubleheaders against The University of Houston – Victoria at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 5 and at noon, Sunday, Feb. 6 at Scorpion Field.

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board<http://www.brownsville-pub.com/> reminds people to conserve electricity in light of rolling power blackouts that can happen with little or no notice. People should turn lights off in empty rooms and decrease the usage of televisions and large appliances.

The Office of News and Information will send updates as needed. The campus community is also asked to stay informed through local media outlets.
