The stage has been set for Roberto Garza to play in his third NFC championship game in this his 10th season in the NFL, but while he has his mind on Green Bay, and his dreams are in Dallas (site of Super Bowl XLV), his heart remains in Rio Hondo.

On Thursday, Jan. 20, the News participated in a telephone conference with the Chicago Bears right guard in which he expressed his excitement about donning the cover of the recent Sports Illustrated edition with fellow teammates Jay Cutler and Olin Kreutz, not to mention the upcoming game against bitter rivals the Green Bay Packers.

“It’s something I would never have thought I’d have an opportunity to do, so it’s awesome to get that opportunity,” said Garza. “Now hopefully we have to go out there and get a victory.”
