city logoThe San Benito City Commission took no action regarding the selection of an attorney at its regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Item eight on the agenda was the discussion on review of proposals submitted by area law firms in hopes of representing the city.

However, citing short notice, members of the commission instead opted to postpone the item to allow themselves more time to study the applications.

“I haven’t read them. I need more time to read them. I haven’t reviewed them or done any kind of comparison or seen if they met the qualifications that we asked for,” said City Commissioner Celeste Sanchez.
