Med-Care EMS, the City of San Benito’s new 911 emergency ambulance provider will deliver quality service, actively participate in local civic events, and conduct public educational and leadership programs, officials of the company have said.

Representatives of Med-Care met Wednesday with city officials and area hospital emergency room supervisors in an information-sharing session that outlined statistical data, personnel and compliance matters.

Explaining that efficiency ratings are gained through an evaluation of statistics, Med-Care prides itself on measuring response times, along with 911 versus non-emergency calls and other relative data, said Danny Ramirez, director of communications for the ambulance company. He noted that Med-Care averages a response time of eight minutes in 90 percent of their calls.
