Off to a good start
The San Benito Lady ’Hounds soccer team improved to 4-1 in District 31-5A on Tuesday night with a 3-0 win over Weslaco East at Bobby Morrow Stadium. The girls have started district play quickly and are in second place in the league. Chantell Pecina had a tremendous game, scoring two goals while Hermelinda Casas contributed a goal of her own. The Lady ‘Hounds continued district play against McAllen on Friday, Feb. 7, as they aim to qualify for another state playoff berth. The team is coached by Frank Ibarra.
