SBN website undergoes comprehensive revamp

NEWS Staff Report

SBN websiteThose who’ve recently visited the San Benito News website, sbnewspaper.com, may have noticed a few changes.

Actually, the website has undergone a complete revamp in an effort to provide visitors a heightened website experience while continuing to maintain the exclusive content that readers have become accustomed to in the print edition.

Specifically, sbnewspaper.com showcases front page articles and sports stories as well as community calendar events, obituaries, staff columns and photos presented in a streamlined format which is designed to highlight the content.

According to Managing Editor Michael Rodriguez, visitors have expressed enthusiasm regarding the website’s new design since it went live on Monday, Nov. 26. “We’ve received positive feedback from our readers and have already noticed a spike in web impressions,” Rodriguez said.

“We’ve also integrated into the new design an online poll and our increasingly popular social media outlets, Facebook and Twitter, on the homepage,” he added. “Utilizing an attractive and modular design, our intent is to not only provide another outlet to the print edition of the News but to embrace the 24/7 breaking news cycle.”

Continuing to remain available via sbnewspaper.com is the newspaper’s e-edition, which currently features free supplements including the 2012-13 Winter Tourist Guide.
