RIO HONDO – After last week’s tough loss to the Sinton Pirates, the Rio Hondo Bobcats dominated the field for an impressive victory over Rio Grande City’s Grulla Gators during Friday night’s homecoming game at Bobcat Stadium.
After winning the toss-up, it was game on for the ’Cats. Quarterback Juan Puga brought in a 26-yard touchdown, elevating the Bobcats 6-0 early in the first quarter.
Running back and 2012 Homecoming King, Hernan Guerrero started off on the right foot – literally – as he kicked a field goal to make it 9-0.
