Jo-Jo, an American Cocker Spaniel, was top dog as the first place recipient of the Patriotic Dog and Owner Look-A-Like contest alongside owner Joe Zamarripa.
The Spaniel won the contest at the June 30 ResacaFest event, which was later cancelled due to inclement weather and subsequently rescheduled to July 14.
“He was rescued as a pup, tiny and alone at five months,” said Joe’s wife Mary Zamarripa. She added, “We found him wandering the streets, and since we couldn’t have children we kept him.”
