fire2At least three people have been displaced after their trailer home caught fire Saturday.

According to Officer Juan Velez of the San Benito Police Department (SBPD), the fire was reported at approximately 8:46 a.m. Saturday, April 7 on the 900 block of Stenger Street in San Benito, where a trailer in which three people resided was found engulfed in flames.

Velez said San Benito firefighters arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire within minutes. And although there was one male subject asleep inside the home at the time of the fire, it was reported that the man managed to escape to safety after he awoke to a cloud of smoke inside the trailer.
