What seemed like a close game turned out to be another blowout for the San Benito Lady ’Hounds as they defeated Brownsville Pace Viqueens in five innings Tuesday night, 11-1.
In the first inning, Pace started off strong scoring one run as sophomore hurler Amber Jasso gave up four walks that inning. The Lady ’Hounds answered back at their turn at bat with two runs as Kasey Sanchez brought in Adriana “Squirt” Flores with double to left, and Giselle Tamayo brought Sanchez in with a stand up double.
Offensively, the Lady ’Hounds keep things rolling in the second as they scored two more runs in the second as Jasso slapped a pitch into left field, bringing Roxy Rivas in. Sanchez earned another RBI as she brought in Jasso.
