The San Benito Quarterback Club Annual Football Banquet is slated for Sunday, March 25 with Leo Araguz, formerly of the Oakland Raiders, serving as the event’s keynote speaker.
Scheduled inside the San Benito High School varsity gymnasium, the event will kick off with a dinner at 4 p.m. before diving into the program at 5 p.m. The program will include the presentation of colors and pledge of allegiance delivered by the Miller Jordan ROTC. Master of Ceremonies Brendan Fitzgerald will then take over duties on the mic and introduce Joel Lopez, who will provide the invocation.
Quarterback Club President Nora Ann Carney will do the honors of welcoming those in attendance before Fitzgerald introduces Araguz, a Pharr native who lettered in football and soccer at Harlingen High School.
