Taking a brisk walk while listening to some tunes can be an enjoyable experience for those inclined to such tendencies; but on March 17, performing as much will mean a little more than usual.
That’s the day 2010 graduates of San Benito High School have set aside to hold a 5k run/walk entitled “Jamming Miles for Janet” – a fundraiser accompanied by live music performed by local bands in support of fellow classmate Janet Mata of San Benito.
All proceeds raised at the event, to be held at the W.H. Heavin Resaca Trail located on 705 N. Bowie St. in San Benito, will benefit Driscoll Children’s Hospital.
