Damian Grant Preciado, 16, or as he likes to call himself “Fanaa” (which to him means funny) may just be a sophomore in high school but puts the “pow” in the power forward position for the ’Hounds basketball varsity team.

“I have been playing since I was born,” said Grant, which he is most known by. “Everyone in my family has been playing the sport.” He was mainly pushed by his mother to play, and looks to be greater then his older brothers, who at one point were also varsity players.

Grant’s dream since he was a young boy is to play for the Lakers, and share the court with his favorite athlete, Kobe Bryant. He is hoping to take the first step to this goal by working as hard as he can on the court and in the classrooms.
