The San Benito girls’ varsity basketball team added another win to their record by demolishing the Brownsville Porter Cowgirls, 53-18.

They now stand at 4-2 district and 17-11 overall.

Starting point guard Alex Cerda opened the game for the Lady ’Hounds, scoring a three-point basket. Cerda totaled nine points at the end of the game. Also putting points on the board were number 22, Cejay Banuelos with four points, number 24 Jav’ Ana Gonzalez with four points, number 12 Stephanie Castro with four points, number 21 Vanessa Flores with six points, and number 55 Sarah Hartman with eight points. Kasey Sanchez, number 15, led the team in baskets with 18 points.
