HARLINGEN – The stars were out Wednesday and Thursday for the grand opening ceremonies of Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World in Harlingen, including three-time Super Bowl champion and former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jay Novacek, 2012 Miss Texas USA Brittany Booker, and the Black Widow herself – billiards pro Jeanette Lee.
To begin, 9,500 people attended Wednesday night’s ribbon cutting, entitled an Evening of Conservation in which Bass Pro planned to donate 50 cents per dollar spent to the “More Fish Campaign” of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
