HARLINGEN – If only the Los Fresnos Falcons had a different opponent, they might sleep better come Saturday.
That’s when the birds take on another winged foe, the undefeated, state-ranked Harlingen Cardinals, a team that’s demoralized every opponent in its path thus far in 2011.
But do not misunderstand; it’s not that the 8-2 Falcons wouldn’t take on any opponent. It’s just that the 10-0 Cardinals have already amassed 530 points on the year, averaging 53 points per game.
