A proposed City of San Benito organizational structure, which utilizes a two assistant city manager setup, was tabled by commissioners at Tuesday’s regular meeting.
Commissioner Bill Elliott made the motion, stating that the structure had already been approved in budgeting and didn’t need commissioners’ approval since it is up to the city manager and attorney to make such decisions.
According to a copy of the proposed structure obtained by the News, the reorganization consists of a basic two-tier form of government in which commissioners oversee audit and legal services as well as the city manager.
