Two Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings baseball players visited the students from the Summer Recreation Program at Miller Jordan Middle School on Wednesday. Mickey Casidy and Andrew Dowl, both pitchers, took time out of their schedule to talk to the students about the importance of eating healthy and engaging in physical activity before challenging the students to try to hit wiffle balls tossed by the WhiteWings themselves. It was all part of the Healthier U.S. Schools Challenge. (Staff photos by Francisco E. Jimenez)

People so proud that Miller Jordan has athletes coming to visit…. what about educating the students? They put on all this “hoopla” so that the truth can go unnoticed.
