San Antonio got things started quick putting up three runs in the first inning. The Lady ’Hounds held O’Connor in the second and were able to answer back by putting up two runs, which came from a big hit by Yesenia Penablanca.

The Lady ’Hounds didn’t just have a tough time with O’Connor, they had trouble with the umpires throughout the game. The Lady ’Hound fans made tons of noise as they disagreed with obvious calls made by the umpires.

O’Connor’s offense proved to be too much for the Lady ’Hounds and had their defense shaken, although San Benito did fight back with great plays made by Dorothy Milan as well as the Lady ’Hounds infield.

The final score of the game was 16-2 as San Antonio O’Connor takes a one game lead. Game two will be played tomorrow at 5 p.m. If the Lady ‘Hounds come back and win game two they will have a chance at going to the next round as another game will be played thirty minutes after game two.
