According to the Cameron County inmate list, the San Benito mother charged with 1st degree felony of injury to a child is out on bond. Amber Marie Molano, 20, was charged with the crime Tuesday, exactly six days after her 7-month old baby was pronounced dead at Valley Baptist Medical Center. The charge came after a week long investigation following an incident back on March 31 where Molano allegedly left her two children unattended in a bathtub at her home. Police are also looking into the death of another one of Molano’s children back in 2012, though no charges have been filed against her in that case.
