SB resident wins $1M

A San Benito resident claimed a top prize-winning $1 million ticket in the Texas Lottery® scratch-off game Instant Millions.

According to Texas Lottery, the ticket was purchased at Stookey Mart, located at 1608 E. Business 77 in San Benito.

The claimant elected to remain anonymous.

According to Texas Lottery, this was the first of four $1 million top prizes claimed in this game. Instant Millions offers more than $91.3 million in total prizes.

The overall odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 3.80, including break-even prizes.

The Texas Lottery’s functions and activities are administered by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), the state agency responsible for licensing and regulating a broad range of professions, occupations, and industries.

Since the first ticket was sold in 1992, the Texas Lottery has generated more than $41.9 billion in revenue for the state and distributed more than $95.3 billion in prizes to lottery players.
