Rabies clinic on tap

The City of San Benito and the San Benito Police Department (SBPD) is inviting the general public to join city staff and the San Benito Animal Hospital this Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at the San Benito Fairgrounds for a pet vaccination event, slated from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Officials stress that the event is open to anyone, not just San Benito residents.

The City, and the SBPD, in partnership with the Paws & Claws Veterinary Clinic, are hosting their annual drive-thru Rabies Vaccination Clinic in an effort to keep pets up to date on their vaccinations, according to officials. Organizers are asking the public to feel free to take advantage of the various vaccines and services that are being offered at the clinic.

The following is a reference fee schedule: Rabies — $14, Parvovirus/DHPP – $35, Bordetella – $35, Rattlesnake – $25, FVCRP – $35, FELV – $35, Heartworm Testing – $20 and Deworming – $10.
Other packages for dogs that are being offered include: Package “A” — Rabies/DHPP/Bordetella/Deworming/Heartworm Test – $90. Package “B” –Rabies/DHPP/Deworming/Heartworm Test – $70. Package “C” — Rabies/DHPP/Deworming – $40.
Packages for Cats that are being offered include: Package “A” Rabies/FVRCP –$45.
Flea and tick prevention are also available.

The San Benito Fairgrounds are located at 251 Cesar Gonzales Dr., San Benito. For more information, call San Benito Animal Control Officer Abraham Soto or J. Coronado at (956) 658-8515. City pet and animal ordinance information and education will also be available at the event.
