David Favila, now former Director of Public Relations for the City of San Benito, recently stepped down from his role. Favila alerted the NEWS of his departure on Thursday, Aug. 29 and his last day with the City was Friday, Aug. 30.
According to Favila’s LinkedIn account, he was with the City for four years and one month. He began working for the City of San Benito in September 2020.
Favila has worked many jobs in the news industry including a stint at the La Feria News as a managing editor for eight months in 2020. For 22 years prior, Favila worked at the “Valley Morning Star” as a reporter. He began in at the Star in 1996 and finished his time there in 2018, according to his LinkedIn profile. His earliest recorded job was as a research director in the Dallas Business Journal starting in 1995.
Favila attended college at the University of North Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.
Currently, Favila is no longer listed on the official City of San Benito website.
