LOS FRESNOS, TX—According to Cameron County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Investigators, on Monday, December 25, 2023, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Cameron County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence here regarding an assault.
Upon arrival, Sheriff’s Deputies reportedly made contact with a 26-year-old male victim who reported that he was allegedly assaulted by his common-law wife.
The victim reported the alleged altercation initiated when he refused to allow his common-law wife, identified as Briana Ruiz, to take their children. The victim accused Ruiz of being intoxicated.
