Search for SB man continues

The search for an elderly San Benito man who went missing last week continues as the San Benito Police Department (SBPD) and family of Juan Chavez Carrillo have announced a $5,000 reward leading to the discovery of the Resaca City resident said to be suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

“We continue with the search for Mr. Carrillo, who went missing on July 18, 2023. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his discovery or return home. Help us in the efforts to bring him home safe to his family,” read a post on the SBPD’s Facebook page.

According to a press release issued by the SBPD late last Wednesday afternoon, July 18, 2023, Carrillo was reported missing to the SBPD by family members.

Carrillo is approximately 5’ 7” in height and is of a thin build, weighing approximately 125-145 lbs. He was last seen Tuesday, July 19, 2023 at around 8 a.m., and he was believed to have left his home at the area of 1100 North Shore Dr., San Benito, riding a purple colored bicycle towards an unknown location.
