On March 23, Los Fresnos police responded to calls of a man lying on the road with injuries near Highway 100.
Los Fresnos Police Chief Hector Gonzales identified the man as 22-year-old Julio Cesar Gutierrez, Jr. from Los Fresnos.
The body was found on the 3300 block of FM 803, south of Highway 100 at 9:30 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The body was found with a gunshot wound, although it was not specified where the wound was.
Chief Gonzales said they are not releasing that information yet as the investigation remains active. He said they are working with limited information at the moment.
